I cannot recommend working with Zuleika and Luna Philanthropy enough. Not only does Zuleika have years of fundraising experience and a nuanced understanding of how to raise revenue across different fundraising streams, but she also has a gift for teaching this knowledge to others through a structured program mixed with coaching sessions, feedback, resources, and more.

Zuleika Johnson is a fundraising professional and relationship manager with over 12 years of experience and background in the nonprofit sector and higher education. Throughout her career, Zuleika has worked with numerous nonprofit organizations expanding volunteer programs and cultivating corporate and individual donor initiatives. She has raised millions of dollars to support communities of color through grant writing and major gifts work. She is a founding member of the Racial Equity Fund Advisory Committee, a Giving Circle of the Pikes Peak Community Foundation, established to highlight the generosity of people of color and support organizations centering racial equity in the Pikes Peak region. As a parent, Zuleika understands the importance of creating sustainable and equitable solutions that have a lasting impact. Inspired by her profound love for her daughter, Zuleika’s work is aimed at creating inclusive fundraising communities and increasing the presentation of people of color in philanthropy. Zuleika has a MPA from The City College of New York, an MBA from Colorado Technical University, and a BA in Economics and Gender and Women’s Studies from Connecticut College.

We engaged Luna Philanthropy to help us align our Nonprofit Endowment Cohort curriculum with our organizational values, and Zuleika helped us do just that.  We appreciated her perspective, insights, and thoughtful questions that helped us create a more inclusive curriculum that reflects the many ways communities support the causes they care about.
